Gloria agrees to participate in therapy sessions with three male therapists. She also agrees to have herself filmed during the sessions for educational purposes. However, the film goes beyond Gloria’s personal struggles. We are shown how women are trapped within conservative societal structures through gender roles.

Brooklyn-based film artist Jennifer Reeves started making films in 1991, from experimental shorts to multiple-projection performances with live music, abstract animation films and experimental features. Reeves writes, shoots, edits and designs the sound for the majority of her work. The films have investigated themes of mental health and psychology, sexuality, feminism and history, as well as the splendor and decay of our natural world.
