Sandeep Ashwath adalah seorang profesor di bidang animasi di Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru, India. Ia memiliki gelar Diploma Pascasarjana di bidang animasi dari National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, dan gelar M.A. di bidang animasi dari Royal College of Art, London. Ia kemudian menyelesaikan studi doktoral (PhD) di bidang antropologi sosial dari University of Surrey, Inggris. Minat penelitian Sandeep meliputi resepsi animasi, mitologi dan konstruksi kesakralan, film eksperimental, penelitian berbasis praktik, serta pedagogi animasi.

Sandeep Ashwath is a professor in the field of animation at the Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru, India. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Animation from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and an M.A. in animation from the Royal College of Art – London. He then completed a PhD in social anthropology from the University of Surrey – UK. Sandeep’s research interests are in animation reception, mythology and construction of sacredness, experimental film, practice research and animation pedagogy.
